Originally a vast circular train shed, The Roundhouse is a live performance venue loved by audiences and artists everywhere.
From the biggest names in music to boundary-busting leaders in theatre, circus and spoken word, great artists power brilliant experiences at the Roundhouse every single day.
The architecture is a marriage of restored Victorian and contemporary design. We developed a wayfinding scheme following the venue’s refurbishment, with a sign scheme that blended old and new.
Design partners Atelier Works created a special stencil version of the typeface Clerkenwell. This was then spray-painted directly onto the concrete walls. A crude technique, but very carefully done.
